My new scraproom

Too bad it's in Yoville!!! I have been hooked decorating my Yoville apartment and house. Here is my new scraproom. I would prefer different cabinets but there's only so much to choose from. It's close though! LOL I wish I were scrapping right now in there but will go to my other room, which is still a work in progress!

Evensong - November 2008 WOTG

Finally! I have had the layouts done a while but I had to get the "good" camera from DH.

I love these papers! I really liked the Autumn/Winter 2008 papers released and had fun doing these layouts. I don't often do "copycat" but these seemed to fit what I wanted to do and wanted to find out just how much I could get out of a Level 2 paper kit. I have lots of scraps left over to do cards or even more layouts. I would need to add some cardstock but I have about as much of that as I do patterned papers...LOTS! hahahaha

Anyway, here they are. The first layout is the featured brochure layout created by Jeanette.

The next is one of the layouts for this paper kit in the Autumn/Winter 2008 Idea Book:
Tradition - Left Layout Tradition - Right Layout

The final one I added to what was featured in the Idea Book. I wanted to use photos of a trip to France and there were quite a few so I decided to use one of our True Fit Folios and make four layouts in the space of two.

Here is the layout as featured in the Idea Book:
Now & Forever - Left Layout Now & Forever - Right Layout

The right layout is attached to the folio; at the bottom there is a tab to lift. When you do, you see this:

Here are closeups of the top and bottom layouts (the blank Colonial White cardstock on the bottom layout is awaiting my journaling. I will be using one of our font CDs and printing it):

Here are the six layouts from the October WOTG, Notebook. LOVE LOVE LOVE this paper, and loved the layouts in the brochure and Idea Book pretty much like they were. Why mess with perfection? :)
Happiness Is - Left Happiness Is - Right

Beauty of Fall - Left Beauty of Fall - Right
Follow Your Heart - Left Follow Your Heart - Right

I began working on November's WOTG (LOL) with the Evensong papers and have one layout done...two to go! It's taking a while because I'm having to rip photos from some home movies but it has been worth it!

I already have December's WOTG (with Aspen papers) done but am anal about putting them in order. ;) More soon!

Perfect Day September 2008 WOTG layouts

Here are the six layouts I completed with the Perfect Day papers using the Workshop On The Go program. There is a brochure with an exclusive 2-page layout by our founder and CEO, Jeanette Lynton. The layouts in the brochure do not appear in any of our How-To programs.

The other two layouts are those shown in our Fall/Winter 2008 Idea Book pictured with the Level 2 Perfect Day papers (and based on either Cherish or Imagine templates).

I really enjoyed using these! I have been able to get so caught up with my scrapping using them (since I was laid up most of last fall!). Love it!!! Anyway, here are my versions.

The first is the layout from the brochure. I might have posted it before (I had a chance to finish it before I became a major klutz!) but will include it here anyway since it is part of the WOTG. I used different stamp sets than what was used, but I think they worked out fine! I used Boutique Alpha and Western Flourishes. Also used our Chocolate rub-ons (on the first layout). REALLY loved these! Other than that, the My Stickease were used (for all three layouts).

I have been remiss in getting my layouts/cards uploaded! I have taken photos of most but I wanted to put them in a certain order and 1) needed to retake one picture and 2) remembered that there were some layouts I hadn't done yet. I'm anal that way (in that I wanted the photos in a certain order) but I will go ahead and add a few cards that I created and sent to friends/family for the holidays.

5 1/2 x 4 1/4 card. All products from CTMH. Aspen patterned paper, Twilight cardstock on White Daisy base. Stamp set New Fallen Snow; stamped in Twilight on Colonial White cardstock. Matted with Twilight cardstock, painted with Delta Ceramcoat paint using fan brush. White Daisy Sassy Strands. Sparkles large and medium round used on snowflake.
This patterned paper is one of those I hate to use...because I like it so much. LOL How dumb is that??? I tend to hoard the ones I like most. Wouldn't it make more sense to USE them so I can enjoy them? Anyway, I used the paper anyway so maybe I'm getting over it!
Created much like version 1 but used different patterned paper from Aspen and instead of Sparkles on snowflake used Frosted Lace Stickles glitter glue.

Gloria and Festive Thoughts stamp sets. Sentiment inked in Moonstruck. Cardstocks Moonstruck, Honey and Lilac Mist on White Daisy base. Markers: Moonstruck, Lilac Mist, Honey, Cranberry, New England Ivy, Garden Green, Sweet Leaf, Bamboo and Chocolate. Square Window Charms and Moonstruck fiber from Winter Classic Sassy Strands. Moonstruck eyelet. Prisma glitter added to stars on right side of card. Embossing on "stained glass" panel with Clear Detail.
I LOVE this stamp set. I think it's because it reminds me of stained glass, my other great love. I haven't done any of that for so long (because my scrapping stuff has taken over my workspace...and my life!). I miss it though.
And here is one layout I completed not too long ago, when I was playing catch-up recently.

Boom-Di-Ada papers. For the life of me I can't remember the darned stamp set now though! I will have to check and update (I know, I know, I've said that before!). The journaling was done on the computer with one of the CTMH fonts with the RGB codes changed to match the Barn Red cardstock.
I liked doing this layout; nice bright papers in the midst of winter to cheer me up! I am so glad the below-zero weather is gone (for now). It's supposed to be in the 20s/30s for the next week or so I think. Whoop-de-doo!!! LOL I'll sure take it though!!!
Off for now...will try my best to be back soon!
P.S.-I just previewed this entry and see that some of it is out-of-whack AGAIN. Why does that happen sometimes??? Things to ponder. It is annoying...sorry!!!

Success! DSS loved the present I made and I have a picture of it now. Oh, I wasn't awake when he came over, his reaction is conveyed via DH so I guess he really did like it! LOL As for my camera, I was able to use the good one. The problem before seems to be the batteries that DH purchased for some reason??? Anyway, I used regular batteries and was able to get some better pics than before.

Created on one of our CTMH Artboards with It's A Guy Thing Level 2 papers; Barn Red and New England Ivy cardstocks. Edge distresser used on all pieces, then all inked with their coordinating inks. Large photo mat dry embossed and sanded. Large tag (No Owner's Manual Required) cut from one of the B&T papers and matted with New England Ivy cardstock. Ribbon from (retired) Ribbon Rounds - New England Ivy Collection. Buttons are Holiday Craft Buttons. Arrow from Dimensional Elements - Fresh Shapes and covered with B&T paper. 2002 cut from stamping with Rustic Numbers in Cocoa. Photo clip from Mini Medleys - Chocolate Collection. New England Ivy Waxy Flax in buttonholes and used to tie tag from "C", which was inked with Barn Red. I mixed New England Ivy reinker with Delta Ceramcoat paint and painted over Art Board base. 3-D Foam Squares used on 2002, Owner's Manual tag and letter C.

I am definitely going to do more of these for gifts! I wish I had thought of it before my sister's birthday tomorrow. Belated it shall be.

Tomorrow (hopefully) I will get pictures of the layouts I've completed since I finally recuperated from being a klutz in the fall. Ha, fall. No wonder they call it Fall!!! LOL Anyway, if the regular batteries I have now hold up long enough I'll get pictures done. I know you're all dying to see. HA!

It's been a while!

Yep, it's been since August that I last visited! Weeks after my wrist incident in August, which after an MRI turned out to be torn ligaments (surgery recommended but am holding off with hopes of "self-healing" ha), I fell down the basement stairs and fractured a rib. A few weeks later fractured my foot in 5 places. Needless to say, I'm just now getting up and around again. It took a very long time to finally get my ankle and toes to cooperate walking again, even after my foot healed.

I'm back now though! I've been doing pretty well since the end of December so have been busy playing catch-up. I have lots of layouts and some cards, etc to add soon (if I can figure out why my good camera has stopped working!).

I'll add one of the latest cards here now, created for DSS who turns 24 tomorrow!!! It's a 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 card. Since I almost always use patterned paper for cards, I decided to try just cardstock! Shamelessly scraplifted for the most part from the August/Winter 2008 Idea Book (page 79), I used cardstocks Sorbet , Bamboo and Olive on Bamboo for the base as well. Stamp sets were Remember This and Star Struck. Adorned with pewter brads, Garden Green organdy ribbon (retired-from Organdy Ribbon Rounds). Stamping done with Olive ink. Also used Sorbet marker. Distressed edges with Edge Distresser and inked with coordinating color. I used the dry embossing technique on the Sorbet center mat. Arrow adhered with 3-D Foam Squares for dimension.

I need to add a picture of the present I did as well...IF my camera will cooperate later. I have one pic but it is with my icky camera and the picture is horrid. It might have to do! Stay tuned...

Yay! Visitors :)
